Gyazo HDR Support and Settings

Gyazo HDR Support and Settings

Gyazo currently supports HDR only for Window Capture.

There is two ways to use this feature:
press Ctrl + Shift + W (Shortcut keys) or
launch Gyazo, press the space key, and click on the window you wish to capture

Unfortunately, Region Capture does not support HDR at this time.

To avoid washed-out colors when using Region Capture, you can adjust the "HDR content brightness" setting in Windows to 0. Follow these steps:

Open the Settings app (press Windows key + I).
Click on System.
Select Display.
Ensure your HDR monitor is selected if you have multiple displays.
Find the "HDR" section, possibly under advanced display settings.
Locate the slider labeled "HDR content brightness".
Set the slider to 0 by dragging it all the way to the left.

Note: This adjustment affects all HDR content on your monitor. You may need to readjust it for other HDR content outside of Gyazo Region Capture.

We are aware of this limitation and are working to improve Gyazo, including potential HDR support for Region Capture in future updates.
