How to recover captures after a failed upload (Windows)
If an upload fails due to server congestion or network errors, your capture data may still be temporarily saved in a local folder on your Windows PC.
Please try the following steps to see if you can recover your lost image or video.
Folder Path:
C:\Users\[Your_Username]\AppData\Local\Temp How to access it easily:
Press the Windows key + R key on your keyboard.
In the "Run" dialog box, type
%temp% and click OK. The Temp folder will open.
How to find your files:
Look for files following these naming conventions:
Images: PNG files starting with
gy Example:
gyaB5EC.tmp.png Videos (Gyazo Video/Replay): MP4 files named based on the date and time
Example:
20250804180959_2.mp4 ⚠️ Important Notes:
Audio is not saved
While the video portion is saved in the Temp folder, unfortunately, audio data is not included in these backup MP4 files. Only the visual recording can be recovered.
Temporary Files
Files in the Temp folder may be automatically deleted by Windows or cleanup software. If an upload fails, please check this folder and copy the file to a safe location as soon as possible.
