OCR scanning process takes time
OCR scan (Optical Character Recognition scanning) is a complex process of reading text in an image; Gyazo uses Google's OCR API, but the process can be slow due to the following factors.
Image quality and characteristics
Low quality images: Images with low resolution, blurred, noisy, distorted, too small text, or complex backgrounds take longer to recognize; OCR may require more time to preprocess the image in order to accurately detect text.
Amount and placement of text: Large numbers of characters in an image or irregularly placed text can also take longer to process.
Network latency
The overall processing time may be longer if the Internet connection speed when sending images to Google's OCR API or communication conditions with the server are unstable.
Processing load on API side
Processing may also take longer if there is temporary processing congestion on the Google API side or if updates to the OCR model are being made.
Measures to be taken and points to be checked
Currently, there are limited direct "fixes" for cases where OCR scans do not complete for an extended period of time, but please check the following points.
Reconfirm after some time
Please wait a few moments and check again to see if the OCR scan is complete.
Image Adjustment
If possible, try to re-capture the text portion in a larger, clearer image.
Clear browser cache
This may be a temporary problem with your browser, please try clearing your cache.
Stability of network environment
Please make sure you are using Gyazo with a stable Internet connection.
If this happens every time with a particular image, or if you continue to wait for a long time and it never completes, please contact us with a link to the Gyazo image. We will investigate in detail.
