Cannot capture PC game screens
If your Gyazo screenshot turns black or does not capture correctly while you are playing a PC game such as Minecraft, try changing the game’s display mode.
This issue can happen when a game is running in exclusive fullscreen mode.
Switching the game to windowed mode or borderless windowed mode may allow Gyazo to capture the screen correctly.
How to fix it
1. Open the game’s display settings or graphics settings.
2. Change the display mode to one of the following options.
Windowed Borderless Window Windowed Borderless Virtual Fullscreen 3. Try capturing the game screen with Gyazo again.
If the setting change works, the game screen will be captured normally.
The exact setting name and location differ depending on the game. For detailed instructions, please check the manual or support page for the game you are playing.
Why this happens
Some PC games use exclusive fullscreen mode.
In this mode, the game may control the screen in a way that prevents Gyazo from capturing it correctly.
As a result, the captured image may appear completely black, or the game screen may not be included in the capture.
Notes
Some games, overlays, video apps, or security software may include features that block screen capture.
If the same issue continues after changing the game’s display mode, please also check Screenshots blank or totally black.
