Capture and upload desktop screen

Gyazo lets you capture part of the desktop screen on Windows or Mac and upload it to the web.
When an area of the screen is captured, Gyazo automatically uploads the image and creates a unique URL that is ready to share.

First, Download and install Gyazo.

Capture and upload a screenshot
1. Launch the Gyazo app.

For Windows:
Click the Gyazo icon on the desktop or in the system tray (notification area), or use Shortcut keys.
If the Gyazo icon is hidden, click the "^" arrow to open the hidden icons menu.


For Mac:
Click the Gyazo icon in the menu bar or dock, or use Shortcut keys.


2. Click and drag to select the area of the screen to capture.
The selected area will be captured when the mouse or trackpad is released.

3. Release the mouse or trackpad.
Gyazo automatically uploads the selected area.
By default, the capture page opens in the default web browser and the capture URL is copied to the clipboard.


What can be captured?
Gyazo can capture many kinds of content displayed on the screen, for example:

- Web pages or information to keep for reference
- Designs, mockups, or user interfaces for getting feedback
- Charts, dashboards, and data for sharing at work
- Games or app screens to show what happened
- Video or stream moments, where capturing is permitted
- Error messages or unexpected behavior when asking for help

Share the capture
Paste the copied URL into a chat, email, document, ticket, or anywhere else it needs to be shared.
Sharing options such as Markdown and HTML embed code are also available.

View uploaded captures
Uploaded captures can be browsed from the captures page after creating an account. See create an account to get started.
Free users have restrictions on accessing older captures from the Captures page. For details, see Free users have image viewing restrictions.

Notes
To change whether the capture URL is automatically copied after uploading, see Copy URL to Clipboard.
